Reckless Adventure

The heat of summer sunshine I went to Gubeng rail station to start my adventure on 26^th June 2012. I went to Jogja by Sekar Tanjung train with four friends of mine; there were Nila, Henny, Fumi, and Fajar.

We had no place to stay, and either had no one to guide us in Jogja. We just depended on a tourist map and the passion to explore Jogja. The train suddenly started moving as we were getting on. Here our reckless journey started.


The sun has set when we arrived in Lempuyangan Rail station, Jogja. I missed Magrib just to find place to stay that night. With the help of Pedi cab driver, we found a very reasonable hotel for us to stay. Then, we decided to try any culinary delicious food soon after taken a bath. Not only just to taste, but also we bought some souvenirs for our relatives. So, the first night in Jogja we were wasted our money to satisfy our taste of Jogja culinary. Then, we rest up.

On Wednesday 27^th June 2012, we spent our time in Borobudur Temple.  About 08.00 AM, we checked out of the hotel and got on with the walking to The South Ring Road while we thought about how to get Borobudur Temple as fast as we could. Actually, we did not know how to get there, so we just asked people we met. Destiny brought us to the bus that escorted us to the Muntilan bus station. At noon, we arrived there. The sunshine really burned us, but not our passion.

Luckily, we found bus to get back to Jogja. When Isya’ came, we arrived at Malioboro. Then, while we were wandering around, we bought some accessories and souvenir for our friends at home. At 8 P.M we decided to visit Verdeburg Fortress. There was an event that performed traditional art from each region in Jogja, called Festival Kesenian Yogyakarta.

At midnight, we went home by Bus Jogja-Surabaya. Our final destinations were different; I stopped at Ngawi while four friends of mine stopped at their own hometown. A bright star was shining in the East when I arrived at home in the Thursday morning. Over all, I loved my adventure, although it was really tiring
